Stephenson is located in Menominee County in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and is named after Samuel Stephenson, a leader of the early community. The city is located along the Menominee River, and in the late 1800s was one of the railroad stations for the Chicago and North Western Railroad. The population of Stephenson is 862 residents, as recorded in the 2010 census.
